Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog! This is my first time using tumblr, so I’m still playing around with it a little before I get used to it. If you want an overview of all my posts, you could click on the “Archive” button below to see my beginning and ending posts. To view the links I've posted, simply click on the title of my posts. My main purpose of creating this is to keep you all updated while I’m away. I thought; why not take you all with me while I’m abroad so you all can know what’s going on in my life? I also thought it would be a good idea to keep a journal, so I could refer it to it later and do some self reflection. Watch out for embarrassing moments too! I’ll be posting everything here!
By having this blog, I wouldn’t have to type out long messages and letters to each of my friends who want to know how I’m doing abroad and what’s going on. For those of you who know me well, I write A LOT haha some posts might be rather long. Hopefully you won't lose interest. ;)
My goal was to make my blog simple, clean and easy to read! Finding a theme I was satisfied with out of a 1000+ themes was pretty hard but I'm glad I finally found one!
Also, you might also have realized that I’m using this blog to upload posts about stuff that is going on in my life in general (although the blog title focuses on "June goes to China"). Study abroad will be an important part of my life (hence what motivated me to create this blog, and the blog's main title) because I’ll learn a lot and gain various priceless experiences about life, culture, people and everything else. You will notice that some of the posts are about stuff that happened before I created this blog but wanted to include in this blog, so I can look back to them.
The beginning posts aren’t particularly in order, but rather several miscellaneous events (including those in Richmond during the summer, and those when I first arrived in China in June 2011) but once I get to Beijing in September 2011 and start my study abroad journey, the posts will be in order from the first day I move in. The first post you see on my page is the last and most current post, click on older to see posts I wrote in the beginning. Dates are on upper right hand corner of post.
So follow me & lets see how everything goes! :)
Follow my footsteps as I take my journey abroad...
